Terms of Use
By using Pocket Apologetics, you agree to these terms. They exist to keep the community gracious, truthful and safe. If you don't agree, please don't use the community features.
The handbook
- Handbook entries are written to help Christians think through hard questions. They are offered in good faith but may contain mistakes. Entries marked Draft have not yet been reviewed by our theological reviewer.
- Where faithful Christians disagree, we try to present the main views fairly. Your own church remains the right place to settle those questions.
- Nothing in the app is professional counseling, medical or legal advice. If you or someone else is in danger, contact emergency services or call or text 988 in the US.
- Bible quotations belong to their publishers and are used under their terms. See Translations.
Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Users under 13 need a parent or guardian's permission to create an account.
- One person, one account. Don't impersonate others.
Community guidelines
Our standard is 1 Peter 3:15–16: give a reason for the hope within you, “with gentleness and respect.” In the community and prayer areas you agree not to:
- attack, mock or harass anyone, including people of other faiths or none;
- disparage other Christian traditions or denominations;
- post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content;
- share someone else's private information without permission;
- spam, advertise, or post links to scams or malware;
- knowingly spread false information or claim credentials you don't have.
What you post
- You keep ownership of what you write.
- By posting, you give us permission to store and display it in the app for as long as it stays posted. You can remove it at any time.
- Only post what you have the right to share. Quote others briefly and give credit.
Moderation
Volunteer moderators, approved by our administrators, may hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms. Content reported by several members is hidden until a moderator reviews it. If you think a decision was wrong, contact us at nolan@mybusinessmagnet.tech.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
No warranty
Pocket Apologetics is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or from content posted by other members.
Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll update the date above and let members know in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
